Jasmin St. Claire has gone from pornstar to wrestler to one-woman show.

Jasmin St. Claire is among some of the most controversial porn actors in the 1990s. After earning a name within the culture of shock of this decade, she's capable of moving on and discovering not just two additional public careers.

What made her so famous in a period prior to pornography in the online world? Her career travelled a well-worn route before she became an iconic figure.

Jasmin began her professional life with her first job in New York City, as she revealed to Holly Randall in a recent episode of her podcast Unfiltered.

She was employed in an establishment that featured dancers and models, who were employed by Penthouse and other magazines. According to her interview there were three avenues she could make income in the adult world:

• Find "nutty" FFF breast implants and turn into an "freak show"

• Do stills modelling

• Make porn

She decided to create porn, evidently.

"I was the most famous freak show of the 90s" she says, not making any hint of regret. "I did not see myself as a mature film actor, I was part of the 1990s' the era of shock culture."

The same era also saw the time that included Howard Stern and Jerry Springer Do you remember those shows?

It was the Jerry Springer appearance that straight away led her to porn. She was offered a scripted character on the show , where she would be playing the role of a stripper. This was when she was born. Jasmin St. Claire's portrayal came to life, notorious and mouthy.

Her entrance into the world of porn was consensual to Jasmin. With so many women today getting into porn as a result of their boyfriends who are pushing them, it's an important distinction she's determined to create.

The trend towards adult films

In the culture of shock she was part of, Jasmin took on her most famous task. She was the main character in the World's Most Famous Gang Bang 2, the edgy sequel to the porn movie that first starred Annabel Chong.

The media coverage for the Gang bang stated that she had performed sexual acts with more than 300 men. There are two versions of the gang bang. One which says it was "the largest scam that has ever been done in the world of porn."

In an interview for a book there were just 30 males on film. The actors were "strategically located and filming" and she only had sex with around 10 of them.

On the podcast on the show with Holly, Jasmin St Claire isn't going into a great deal of details about the event. She does mention that the shooting took about 10 hours, and that there were groups of people all over the place, "it was like an insane asylum!"

The amount of films she appeared in is subject to debate. Some sources say 70, while others claim it's lower than 50.

The wrestlers who participated were members of the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) the federation. If you didn't like wrestling until the end of the 1990s, this was the third union that was behind the names that you know about - WWF as well as WCW.

It's not the easiest career choice and Jasmin was required to attend classes to get better at her wrestling skills, and she had numerous professional fights.

She is well-known in the business and she continues to receive requests to sign autographs at wrestling conventions.

A podcast is also being planned as she explains to Holly. She claims that Crazy Train Will cover stories of human interest as well as those from the 1990s' period of shock culture. The guests will include people who have gone through scandals during her time when she was well-known.

She's certainly built her own career using porn and shock culture as the launching point to an enviable life in the spotlight.
